World Backup Day is This Week

Do you have a backup plan?

Protecting your data is something that should be part of your regular routine.

March 31 is World Backup Day, an annual reminder to protect your data, so we asked our Technical Director at Jovian Concepts for some advice about making data backup a habit.

Here are some tips:

  1. Utilize cloud backup services where applicable. Your devices can be stolen, damaged, or just simply have a hardware failure that prevents you from accessing those files. Having files in the cloud allows you to pull those files down when you need them most.

  2. Create an extra internal or external hard drive to automatically backup your entire system image to include files, settings, and preferences. This is relatively simple to do, and you can do it with USB storage devices.

  3. The higher the frequency of backups, the less time it takes each time. Backup your devices daily, if not weekly!

It's a Big Idea to build positive habits into your routine.
