Reflecting on 2020

As we switch calendars and get used to writing "2021" we take some time to reflect on the past year for Jovian Concepts. Though 2020 presented some unforeseen challenges, we are proud of our employees for the highlights we share here with you.

We are pleased to say that despite the obstacles in 2020 Jovian Concepts was able to grow. Certainly it wasn't the growth we anticipated, but for an eleventh consecutive year we saw growth and that is something for which we are extremely grateful. Jovian Concepts supported our customers on twenty programs, allowing employees flexibility to grow professionally. Several employees advanced their careers in a variety of ways, taking advantage of our multiple programs and of our tuition payment benefit.

Jovian Concepts employees demonstrated our Down to Earth--Up to the Challenge mantra throughout the pandemic by giving back to the community in multiple ways: Toy drives and clothing drives continued as planned. The fall golf tournament in support of the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces raised more than ever before. Our fall drive in 2020 doubled the amount donated the prior year. Several employees voluntarily donated their corporate anniversary gifts to the Maryland Food Bank as well. Many thanks go to our employees, friends, family members, and community for being so generous!

Known for our Cohesiveness, a Core Value at Jovian Concepts, the typical social outings and parties planned in 2020 took on new forms. We pivoted to online games, small gatherings when local guidance allowed, and outdoor activities when the weather permitted. Employees contributed activity ideas, leading golf excursions and online happy hours. For the fourth consecutive year Jovian Concepts was recognized by the Baltimore Sun Media Group as a Top Workplace. This honor means a lot to our employees who nurture the Core Values they created together.
