Get Involved with Jovian Concepts-- Winter 2025

Snow wonder you've heard about the vibrant work culture at Jovian Concepts! (See what we did there?) As winter weather drives us indoors, Jovians are focusing on our Core Values of Personal Growth and Cohesiveness. Wonder what that looks like in action? Take a look at some of the things happening this season and get to know Jovian Concepts.

Now that the generosity of the holiday season is behind us, Jovians are committing to helping those in our community who are still in need. After all, hunger persists year-round. The Jovian Concepts food drive benefits the Maryland Food Bank. From now through Valentine's Day, donations may be mailed to or dropped off at our corporate headquarters in Hanover.

Our monthly employee happy hours in Maryland continue through the winter, providing a fun way to gather while it's too cold outside for much else. In January we held a SOUPer Bowl happy hour complete with three choices of soup, salad, and plenty of laughs surrounding our first-ever Wind Up Bowl. (Think "Puppy Bowl" with wind up toys. See it in action on our social media accounts!) The February happy hour will involve chocolate pairings, so we're looking forward to that!

It's not too cold outside for our annual plunge into the Chesapeake Bay to benefit the Maryland Special Olympics. This year the event takes place on February 1st. Kudos go to all our plungers as we send warm thoughts their way!

For those Jovians who prefer to stay inside during the season, Jovian Concepts is giving away books to support Personal Growth. Books this year heading to new homes include cookbooks, planners, and self-help books on everything from how to get organized to how to crochet. This giveaway is favorite January tradition at Jovian Concepts and happens in addition to the year-long book club perk many Jovians enjoy.

Jovians will be attending the AFCEA Central Maryland (CMD) Winter Soiree this year. Formerly called the Valentine's Gala, the event brings together many in our industry for an evening of good food and dancing.

Later in February, Jovian Concepts will host Game Night for the AFCEA CMD Women in AFCEA (WIA). The event was so entertaining last year we hope this will become an annual tradition. Contact AFCEA WIA to register.

Speaking of games, Jovian Concepts is teaming with Cyber Bat again this year to host a Charity Poker Tournament. This No Limit Texas Hold 'Em tournament benefits the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) and the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA).
