Get Involved with Jovian Concepts-- Spring 2025
Engaging events are popping up here at Jovian Concepts faster than the spring flowers! If you're wondering what makes us a Top Workplace, check out these springtime happenings and get to know Jovian Concepts.
Play ball! Opening Day kicks off a long season of baseball here in the states. Jovians and their families enjoy tickets to see the Orioles in Baltimore, GreenJackets in Augusta, or any baseball games in their local area, on us! Meanwhile, in Okinawa it's basketball season where Jovians can watch the Ryukyu Kings. Getting out to a game with family supports our Core Value of Balance.
For Jovians whose idea of a 'ball' includes fancy outfits and dancing all night, we've got them covered, too! Jovian Concepts is sending a large group to the 18th Annual CCBC Gala, this year themed "Lights, Camera, Reflection: Spotlighting Generosity and Impact". The event recognizes individuals and organizations that have contributed to CCBC through their second comprehensive fundraising campaign, Bridge to Success: Creating Brighter Futures. Jovian Concepts has long been a supporter of the accessible education at CCBC and is pleased to sponsor the gala.
To support our Core Value of Personal Growth, Jovians take part this spring in various presentations aimed at helping them fully understand their benefits. In March and May, Jovians hear from experts about maximizing insurance benefits and how to get the most from the financial benefits Jovian Concepts provides, such as a 401k and Health Savings Account.
Further supporting Personal Growth, our book club is currently reading Already Toast by Kate Washington. The book explores caregiver burnout in America, a topic many appreciate as they navigate caring for children and/or aging parents.
On a lighter note, it's RennFest season in Georgia! Jovians and their families are enjoying passes courtesy of our company and hopefully raising a turkey leg with a big, "Huzzah!" In Maryland we have some fun happy hours coming up this spring, including "Programs, Pizza, and Pool" and "Cocktails in the Garden," a returning favorite plant-themed evening.
If this weather has put a spring in your step, we hope to see you at the AFCEA CMD Race for Excellence 5k. We're sending a group of runners to compete in April at this friendly race that raises money for STEM scholarships.
We have a new group starting at Jovian Concepts to sit and stitch together. The group of crafters meets for the first time this spring to learn (or teach, or attempt) to crochet some useful spring projects! We can't wait to show you our progress as we get started, so be sure to follow us on social media.
Our stitching skills might not be up for crafting complete outfits yet, but that won't stop us from helping the Casey Cares Foundation. Their annual collection drive is underway toward throwing the Biggest PJ Party ever! Jovian Concepts is pleased to serve our community as a drop-off site for donations of pajamas (all sizes) and gift cards for movies or pizza delivery. Learn more about how you can contribute here.
There is something for everyone at Jovian Concepts. The events, perks, and benefits Jovians enjoy support the Core Values they hold for themselves, each other, and our leadership team.
