Get Involved with Jovian Concepts-- Spring 2023

Spring finds us busy in all the best ways here at Jovian Concepts. From attending festivals to participating full swing in the golf season, we are living out our Core Values in the Down to Earth, Up to the Challenge spirit many have come to expect from Jovians. Ever wonder what our award-winning corporate culture looks like? Here we share a glimpse into some of our spring activities.

We're celebrating some retirements this season with a new tradition. Each retiree gets a bespoke party in their honor at which we raise a toast with some pretty cool shot glasses made especially for the occasion. It is a fitting send-off, as we regularly center Jovian Concepts celebrations around the table, like so many families do.

A friendly competition is inspiring more than half the company to increase their physical activity. Our Get Moving Challenge has Jovians inspiring each other in creative ways. Recent challenges include hitting 10,000 steps in one day, doing push-ups to a Moby song, and even spring cleaning ("wax on, wax off"). Individuals earn perks and incentives for progress throughout the year and many have joined together into Crews. Crews in the Get Moving Challenge are competing for the ultimate prize: a celebration designed by the Crew with the most points earned in one year. With Crew names such as the Usual Suspects and La Vida Yoda, it's clear that the Down to Earth spirit of Jovian Concepts drives this motivating pastime.

Many Jovians are headed to the ballpark this spring. Jovian Concepts provides tickets to local games and the Orioles are the main draw near our headquarters in Maryland. Parking passes and great seats make it easy for Jovians to treat friends and family to a game on us.

Our spring game night, organized by and for Jovians and their families, is an "escape" challenge. Together with our monthly happy hours hosted by various groups of Jovians to welcome new employees our Core Value of Cohesiveness is alive and well. Add our participation in charity galas and industry networking socials, such as the recent AFCEA CMD lunch and the Emerging Leaders Social we hosted in May, and our calendars are bursting with a robust variety of events.

As we've recently announced our ninth annual golf tournament to benefit the American Red Cross National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region's Service to the Armed Forces, Jovians are hitting the greens to prepare. Treating employees and their Plus Ones to Top Golf in both Baltimore and Augusta, helping industry friends support the community through their tournaments, and even practicing virtually on our gaming system in our recently expanded office is helping us prepare for a great tournament.

Our office expansion has kept us busy this spring. With two recent prime contracts, the extra space across the hall from our corporate headquarters will initially host our summer intern program and allow room for growth.
