Counting Our Thanks
We at Jovian Concepts are grateful that throughout the year there have been many opportunities to experience our Core Values in action: personal growth, loyalty, professionalism, balance, and cohesiveness. During this season of thanks, our reflection turns to the one key ingredient to the success of upholding such values: our employees.
In addition to bringing a high level of expertise to our customers and demonstrating unwavering commitment to the mission, our employees extend their talents and energy into the communities where they work and live. We recognize the importance of getting together socially just for fun, but social philanthropy adds an important layer to the cohesive nature of our company. Coming together to support one another and the causes close to our hearts reinforces the family-like atmosphere of Jovian Concepts.
In 2021 Jovian Concepts employees have been influencing their communities by working together on the following outreach efforts:
Volunteering at our annual golf tournament to raise funds for the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces;
Running as a team both in person and virtually in the AFCEA CMD 5K and Fun Run to raise funds for STEM scholarships;
Collecting jeans for local groups who distribute clothing to families in our area;
Participating in Wreaths Across America, happening next month across the country, to honor the memory of our veterans;
Donating eyewear for families in need;
Supporting Cybersecurity Association of Maryland (CAMI) in their efforts to provide activities that foster a growing cyber community in Maryland;
Organizing a food drive to assist those in our community who are food-insecure this season;
Working with the Central Maryland Meals on Wheels and MDSPCA to collect pet food, allowing families to stay with their pets during times of food-insecurity;
Collecting new toys and books for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program;
Supporting a variety of charities such as Respite Retreats, Heroes on the Water, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), Platoon 22, and RISE for Autism, by participating in the fundraisers of our friends and industry partners; and
Demonstrating commitment to community education through volunteering in high schools to conduct mock job interview, judge robotics teams, and participate in career days, and participate in our ongoing relationship with Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC).
Giving of themselves is just one of the many ways our employees prove they are Down to Earth -- Up to the Challenge. We are grateful to be part of such a strong corporate family. To our employees we say: Thank you for the marvelous things you do.
