Get Involved with Jovian Concepts in Early Fall 2020

Jovian Concepts has a number of traditions that add richness and variety to our corporate culture. As we adapt these traditions to meet health guidelines we continue to emphasize cohesiveness by focusing on the Core Values created by our employees.

Game Night continues to entertain online, this season with another round of Codenames and our home-grown Trivia Nights. Does everyone know the answers at Trivia Night? No, not even the hosts. That's part of the charm.

Our Annual Family Picnics, like so many other events in 2020, look very different this year. Alternatives have our extended family taking zoo trips or staying home with a dinner and movie. Day trips to the local zoo can include the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, or the Okinawa Zoo and Museum, all of which are open and welcoming visitors eager to get outside. Families even have the option to get a subscription to Disney+ to enjoy all year!

Our Anniversary Dinner, originally planned for spring, takes place this season--with a twist. Our "7Up" group (everyone celebrating seven or more years with Jovian Concepts) are treated to a gourmet meal specially prepared for us by the chef at Rye Street Tavern. Like so many local restaurants, Rye Street Tavern was closed for an extended time this spring. We are pleased they are again opened and recommend them if you're looking for a great meal in Baltimore!

Another postponed event from spring is the AFCEA Virtual 5K and Fun Run. Jovian Concepts is a proud supporter of this event, raising funds for STEM Scholarships. Runners have an extended weekend to run on their own turf (or treadmill!) and we will be cheering for our Jovian Concepts team again this year!

The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) annual crab feast has turned into a "Crab Bag" event for 2020. Jovian Concepts is pleased to be giving away some to-go crab feasts to our employees in support of students and alumni at CCBC.

We look forward to seeing many of our associates, friends, and community members at our Annual Golf Tournament October 6th to raise funds for the American Red Cross National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region's Service to the Armed Forces. Held this year at Waverly Woods Golf Course, the event is a great way to support active military, veterans, and their families.
