What's the Big Idea about Interns?
This summer Jovian Concepts is proud to work with a talented group of interns in our new space in Hanover, Maryland. Our interns range in age from high school through college, representing University of Maryland, College Park, Penn State University, and Calvert Hall College High School. The students bring to their project a variety of backgrounds and experience, including but not limited to the following:
encryption
Java, C++, Python
Internet of Things (IoT)
networking
cloud infrastructure
embedded systems
mathematics
computer science
cybersecurity
Our team of interns demonstrate our Jovian Concepts spirit of being Down to Earth -- Up to the Challenge. Throughout spring and summer their schedules and school situations morphed frequently. We adapted their program and the research and development lab of our new Hanover, MD, workspace with safety in mind, monitoring state regulations concerning the pandemic.
Maintaining social distance, working remotely when needed, and quickly adapting to a changing environment, the intern team is crafting an innovative solution to provide internet access to areas hit hard by natural disasters. Considering aspects of security, privacy, connectivity, application range, and reliability, the team is creating hardware and software to address community needs.
We look forward to their presentation at the end of summer and the impact their work will have on communities in the future. Follow us on social media to learn updates.
