Get Involved with Jovian Concepts this Summer

Involvement this summer looks a little different than in previous seasons. As local restrictions are lightened many of us are eager to get out an about more frequently. Some are more comfortable at home. True to our Core Value of Balance, our cohesive culture includes a mix of activities to appeal to a variety of interests-- some virtual events and some in-person events allowing for social distancing.

Our recent All-Hands meeting models this approach. While many of us logged-in individually, some people met in the office or got together with fellow employees to join our inaugural online full-company discussion. When it comes to video conferencing we have a mix of comfort levels in our team. Kudos go to our Technical Director for helping everyone succeed and exemplifying our motto Down to Earth, Up to the Challenge.

Trivia Nights are a recurring event at Jovian Concepts. Employees and their families gather together online in teams to answer some remote and challenging questions curated by our top-notch trivia experts. (We're just kidding. None of us know much trivia. That's probably why these Trivia Nights always hysterical.) See if you are up to this recent challenge.

Bingo is another preferred online activity. Some players are learning from the most seasoned Bingo players (What do you shout when the spot B-4 is called?) and the best thing about this activity is that it is always hosted by our dynamic Vice President Heather Johnson.

Disc Golf is a newly added activity for warm summer evenings. Nothing says "social distancing" like being spread out along a disc golf course! We're grateful that our employees suggest and lead social activities like this. New to disc golf? No worries. As one employee describes it, "Disc golf is kind of like a nice hike in the woods while throwing Frisbees through trees, over water, down hills, etc."

Game Night has been a long standing tradition at Jovian Concepts, with families gathering to learn and play board games. That tradition has moved online for the summer. Jackbox games are a favorite, with plans to add online versions of the games Code Names and Catan to the mix.
