Get Involved with Jovian Concepts- Spring Updates

The warmer weather is calling to us this season. In these unprecedented times we hope you get a chance to get outside and get moving. See the following updates for some of the activities we typically have in spring and some of the activities we are planning for when we can return to normalcy.

Like most people these days, we have transitioned much of our social interaction to online communications. Team meetings and get-togethers have moved to video conferencing but that doesn't mean things have to be dull! Just for fun we've shared with our employees some very Jovian video chat backgrounds to transport them to locations of happier times we've shared together. Here you see the location of our 2017 team building retreat.

We moved this spring to a beautiful new location. Currently our office staff is practicing social distancing and working remotely. Follow us on social media to learn when we can start accepting visitors so you can stop by and say hello. #jovianconceptsisgoingplaces

So many of our employees and their closest friends and family members are on the run! We can't wait to have them all running together again. The annual AFCEA 5K and Fun Run is usually a great opportunity to do so. The Central Maryland Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA CMD) does a fantastic job organizing this event. Typically held each spring, this race is being moved to October. Sign up to join us in support of the AFCEA CMD STEM scholarship efforts. We hope to see you in the fall!

Our annual "7 Up" Anniversary Dinner honors all employees celebrating seven or more years with Jovian Concepts. This event grows every year and is one of the favorite Jovian Concepts traditions of our Vice President Heather Johnson. We normally enjoy this special event on Ms. Johnson's anniversary in April, but health concerns are postponing our dinner this year to early summer.

As golf season gets swinging we look forward to hitting the links in support of the many charity organizations chosen by our industry friends and neighbors. Jovian Concepts is proud to be part of such a generous community. We are hopeful that these events will continue to raise needed funds for their chosen causes. We cannot wait to warm-up in preparation for our Oct. 9th tournament where we play host at Waverly Woods Golf Course to benefit the American Red Cross Greater Chesapeake Region's Service to the Armed Forces. We hope you will join us.

Speaking of golf, our employees will brush up on their skills at a fun outing to TopGolf this spring or early summer. (It's predicted that there will be more socializing than actual golfing at this event!) Yet another postponed event, we look forward to this family activity with our employees and friends.

Our American Red Cross annual blood drive will be held later in the year. Until then, we encourage you to contact the American Red Cross to donate at a center near you.

At Jovian Concepts we are doing our part to stop the spread. We look forward to the future when we can again socialize with our employees, friends, and community members in person. Until then, we wish you the best of health.
