Recognizing Innovation

Each year at our annual party Jovian Concepts pays tribute to one of our founding employees, Gerald "Mac" Stum. Mac was well respected in our industry as a man who appreciated innovative ideas. His 40-year career covered countless research and development projects which Mac approached with curiosity and an open mind. Mac was a mentor to many; he especially enjoyed working with bright, hard-working people who were willing to learn and take risks, and who didn't take themselves too seriously. In other words, Mac was drawn to people who were Down to Earth...Up to the Challenge. His model greatly influenced the shape of our culture at Jovian Concepts.

Over the years we have recognized employees whose hard work and dedication to the mission have inspired change, whose technical agility and problem solving have created new possibilities, whose abilities to assess and identify challenges have led to new approaches addressing a customer's needs, and whose mentorship has helped grow young innovators.

At Jovian Concepts, we are proud to present the Gerald "Mac" Stum Award for Excellence in Innovation each year to an employee who exemplifies the enthusiasm for new ideas that Mac inspired in the people he knew.
