Richard Scheper, Ph.D.
President

Dr. Richard A. Scheper received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland, College Park, where his area of research was Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) plasma theory. Dr. Scheper's graduate studies focused on refining boundary conditions for MHD fluid simulations of the solar corona and terrestrial magnetosphere.

After graduating, Dr. Scheper moved on to work as a contractor supporting an Oceanographic effort at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He then took a position as a government civilian at the Naval Research Laboratory focused on signal processing and information theory. From the NRL, Dr. Scheper segued back into the contracting world, this time for TASC in support of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.

In September 2009, Dr. Scheper took on the ultimate challenge and started his own company, Jovian Concepts. Jovian is founded on the principles Dr. Scheper learned over the course of his career: to provide superior support to every facet of the government's mission. Whether technical, programmatic, managerial, or clerical, superior performance comes from thoughtful people: people who listen, who regularly move out of their comfort zone, who think critically and consider opposing points of view, and, most importantly, who do not take themselves too seriously.
